Colegio Britanico has two locations in the city of Tehuacán, Puebla, Mexico. Sección Primeria is the elementary school for grades 1 through 6. Colegio Britanico Sección Jardin des Niños, in a location about 3 km distant from Sección Primeria, is the equivalent of kindergarten. There are about 140 children in the kindergarten and 90 students in the Sección Primeria. Scholarships are available to children whose families cannot afford the tuition. Most students continue on to middle school.
Kids on Computers learned of Colegio Britanico in 2011. We had just received a donation of 70 laptop computers and determined they would be a good fit for Colegio Britanico’s needs. We set a goal to get as many as possible ready to deliver by Christmas. This photo shows some of the laptops, still in their shipping boxes and ready to configure, under a Christmas tree.
Colegio Britanico received the first six laptops in January 2012. They now have a total of nineteen laptops donated by Kids on Computers. All have been hand carried from Colorado to the school by friends and family of the school directors.
Students of all ages are fascinated by what the computers can do for them.
Kids on Computers has received several notes from children, parents and school staff expressing appreciation for their computers.

The success of the Colegio Britanico computer classes inspired a financial donation from the Parents Board to purchase more computers locally for the Sección Primeria.
