Free Geek<\/a>\u2019s mission is to recycle technology and provide access to computers, the Internet, education, and job skills in exchange for community service.<\/p>\n Kids on Computers is a recipient of a hardware grant from Free Geek in Portland, OR. \u00a0After receiving a donation of laptops with low memory, we were able to connect with Free Geek in order to upgrade the RAM so the laptops would run Ubuntu more quickly. \u00a0Thanks Free Geek!<\/p>\n HP<\/a>‘s Open Source Program Office has made generous hardware donations to\u00a0Kids on Computers.<\/p>\n Kids on Computers is supported by a variety of partner organizations. With the help of these partners, we are better suited to meet our goals of bringing technology and open source software to disadvantaged kids.
